AZOMITE™ re-mineralizes soils depleted by plant uptake and normal water erosion (accelerated by the acid in acid rain), plus natural high quality calcium sources to combat soil acidity or ÒsweetenÓ your soil and create an environment where minerals will be more available to your plants. The blend is granulated for easy spreading.
Application
Rate:
Trees: Spread 5 to 200 pounds beneath the canopy of each tree (heavier around the trunk), depending on the size of the tree and the acidity of the soil, and follow with a heavy watering. Repeat annually, gradually reducing application rates as tree vigor and soil pH increase to acceptable levels.
Shrubs: Spread 1 to 5 pounds within a 1-foot to 3-foot circle around the base of each shrub (heavier near the stem), depending on the size of the shrub and the acidity of the soil, and follow with a heavy watering. Repeat annually, gradually reducing application rates as plant vigor and soil pH increase to acceptable levels.
Lawns: For new lawns use 20 lbs. of soil sweetener for 100 sq. ft. of seed bed. To revitalize an established lawn, aerate and spread 10 to 20 lbs. per 100 sq. ft.
Fruits and Vegetables: 1 lb. per 5 square feet, 20 lbs. per 100 square feet.
Available in 25 lb. bags.
